How close are we to an ASD refresh?
I'm looking to change my monitor. Currently using a Dell U3421WE (60 hz refresh rate) but since a couple of months it started to fatigue my eyes really bad. I'd also rather use the mission control rather than keep doing window management to not have a 3440 wide window. For more context, I'm a developer and I'm using my monitor 10-12 hours a day, some...
Loss of window focus MacOS Logitech Options+ Issue
This issue drives me crazy. Occasionally MacOS will lose focus of current window, to fix this I will have to alt+tab into a different program then back to the program I want focus to again. This issue is caused by Logitech Options+ because I tried stopping all Logitech processes and uninstalling and it fixed the issue. I have already given Logi Options+ input monitoring permission...

PSA Companion App Delay issue with latest SteamVR update (fix inside)
**Companion app users, beware.,** SteamVR has been updated very recently, messing up the connection with our companion app. This issue created a very important delay on haptic reaction on the ForceTube/ProVolver. To resolve this until we make an official fix, you can downgrade SteamVR to the previous version. To do so, follow the attached screenshots: 1) Access the "Properties" of SteamVR though your library (this...
Seeking Input: macOS Update Compliance Strategies in Jamf
Hi all — longtime Mac admin here working in the security compliance space. I’m reaching out to see how others are handling patch management specifically for macOS updates, particularly in getting users to update within a set timeframe. We have a process in place where, after Apple releases a new version of macOS, we test it on a designated machine to confirm compatibility with our...
I made local Ollama LLM GUI for macOS.
Hey r/LocalLLaMA! 👋 I'm excited to share a macOS GUI I've been working on for running local LLMs, called macLlama! It's currently at version 1.0.3. macLlama aims to make using Ollama even easier, especially for those wanting a more visual and user-friendly experience. Here are the key features: * **Ollama Server Management:** Start your Ollama server directly from the app. * **Multimodal Model Support:** Easily...
Has anybody experienced UI issues with MacOS Sequoia?
As the title states. My Tone King Imperial plugin UI will not display now that I’ve updated to Sequoia. The application window opens, I can hear the plugin, but the application is a big gray box. I have the same issue when I open the plugin in Reaper, I hear it just fine and using Reaper’s UI, I can change my tone, but the Neural...
App window not appearing when switching using mission control
Hi, I'm on Sequoia 15.4.1 (15inch M2 Macbook Air). I'm seeing this weird behaviour where the app I want to switch to doesn't show the window instance properly when I select it in mission control. Using Cmd+Tab works just fine. Is this a settings/configuration issue on my side or is this a bug?
[KDE] Starting my first rice!
Working on my custom One Piece themed KDE Plasma. Panels are default. Window Manager is Wayland. Terminal is Kitty w/ Zsh (Powerlevel 10k) Fastfetch [configuration](https://github.com/ameerdxb/fastfetch_onepiece) Got [Darwin](https://github.com/Latgardi/darwinmenu) and changed the icon to match the One Piece jolly roger. It's still a work in progress 😄 Other stuff that are not included in this screenshot: -there is a MacOS style panel at the bottom (set to...
Help me escape Apple's walled garden
I'm trying to change my current setup. Right now I have a Macbook Pro M1 Max, from my employer, and a desktop with an Intel 12700 and 64GB of memory running Fedora (KDE). My current plan is to get a laptop powerful enough and get rid of the desktop. This will cover my use case and I'll not need to do anything personal on my...
